About the programme:
Come along on a journey through the wonderful world of the recorder – in space! Recorder explorer Sarah Jeffery has boosted up her rocket, donned her helmet, and is blasting off into a galaxy of music and sound. And she needs your help! Wormholes and black holes, mysterious aliens, even time travel – anything can happen. But it’s all possible, thanks to the power of music!

Featuring music from the 14th century to… the future.

Bring your recorder along to join in. All young astronauts will be given a free descant recorder!

About the artist:
Sarah Jeffery is one of the world’s foremost promoters of the recorder and performs regularly all over the globe as a soloist and chamber musician, from Brazil to Singapore, Finland to Australia. Recent accolades range from Best of Classical Music 2020 in the NRC for production While We Live, composing/musical direction for short film Recorder Rewrite at the Venice Biennale, and the nomination for Best Media at the prestigious REMA Early Music Awards.
